FAQ

Short answers to the most common Vision questions.

Can I use Vision right now? Yes. app.askvision.ai is open to anyone and creating an account takes about a minute. The product is live and real trades settle through it. An account is required: the public Terminal that needed none was retired on 21 August 2026. Is Vision custodial? The Vision Wallet is custodial, and we say so plainly. Vision holds the authority to sign for it. No complete private key exists for anyone to hold, but that is not the same as non-custodial, and you should decide how much to keep there on that basis.

You still preview and confirm every action before anything is signed. There is no non-custodial way to use Vision any more: the public Terminal, where guests signed with their own wallet, was retired on 21 August 2026. The full explanation is on the safety model page. What's the Vision Wallet? The single managed wallet attached to every signed-in account. One login gives you both a Solana and an EVM address.

No browser extension, no seed phrase to write down on day one. Read the full guide on the Vision Wallet page. Can I use Vision on my phone? Yes. The whole app, on a phone or a tablet, at the same address and on the same account. You can add it to your home screen and open it full-screen like any other app. There is no App Store or Play Store download: Vision is a web app, so anything in a store calling itself Vision is not ours.

See Phones and tablets. Which chains does Vision support? Robinhood, Solana and ten EVM chains: Ethereum, Base, Arbitrum, Optimism, Polygon, BNB Chain, Avalanche, Linea, Scroll and zkSync. Robinhood is where cash lives and where tokenized equities trade. A single trade can cross between any of them without you picking a route or holding a gas token. The protocol stack. How much does Vision cost? The chat itself is free.

Vision takes 1% of what you put into a trade. The network fee is free on trades from your Vision Wallet, Vision sponsors the gas, which is why that line on a preview card reads FREE. See Swaps for the full cost picture, including why small cross-chain trades are expensive. Can I link my Phantom or MetaMask to my Vision account? No. Vision runs on the Vision Wallet exclusively, and it covers Solana and every supported EVM chain under one login.

External wallets worked only on the public Terminal, which was retired on 21 August 2026. Can I buy a token on Ethereum if I only hold SOL? Yes. That's exactly what a cross-chain swap does. Name the token and the chain and Vision works out the route, crosses it, and delivers the result, in one flow with no popups via your Vision Wallet. The 1% Vision fee is charged once on the trade, not once per leg.

Small cross-chain trades are expensive for reasons that have nothing to do with our fee. See Swaps. Which bridge or DEX does Vision use? Whichever one is best for the pair you asked for. Vision quotes across several liquidity and routing providers and picks between them per trade, so there is no single answer that stays true, and nothing about the route is yours to configure. What you see on the preview card is the actual quote you would get, and the total cost is derived from the two amounts on it.

Why did my swap need two signatures? The token you swapped into uses the newer Token-2022 standard, which doesn't work with the router's standard fee path. Vision falls back to a two-step flow: a small fee transfer first, then the swap. Same outcome, same 1% fee. This only applies on the Terminal, where guests sign with their own wallet, Vision Wallet users see no popups either way. Why won't Google sign-in work inside Phantom's browser?

Google blocks OAuth in any embedded webview (Phantom, MetaMask, Trust, Coinbase, Rainbow, OKX, Bitget, Solflare, Backpack). The auth page detects this and shows a banner. Tap Open in browser or copy the link to Safari / Chrome to finish signing in. Is there an API? Not publicly yet. Tell us about it at askvision.ai/contact if you have a use case in mind. Where do I report a bug or request a feature?

If you are signed in, open the menu and tap Tell us something. That sends the page you were on along with it, which usually saves a round trip, and you can thumb any reply up or down. Otherwise use askvision.ai/contact. See Feedback.
